Greetings WAPA Friends!
If you’re a fan of old engines, vintage tractors and antique machinery and you’ve been in Southern California for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen the Western Antique Power Associates (WAPA) displaying our collectables at any number of events. Whether it’s the fair, amusement parks, community festivals or school fund raisers, WAPA members are always out there running our machinery and sharing our enthusiasm with eager spectators.
WAPA was established by a handful of folks back in 1975 and it now has members around the country. The club’s board of directors meets monthly and members come to not only conduct business but to talk about important things like the projects we’re working on and how much fun we had at the last show.
If you’re interested in restoring, collecting or displaying, we’d like to have you join us. If you have an engine that doesn’t run or if you still don’t have your first engine, joining up with a bunch of like-minded folks is the best way to get up-to-speed. Besides all the shows, members also get a monthly newsletter, access to our private email chat and periodic field trips to interesting venues.
If you’re an organizer and you’re looking for a fun and educational group to add to your event, our Show Director would be happy to chat with you.
